18th Annual Halloween Happenings at JSI!

If you're looking for something fun, educational, and non-spooky to do this Saturday, October 27, be sure to stop by Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park for the 18th Annual Halloween Happenings!   The Park is located about 15 miles south of Ironton on Hwy. N, and you can take your pick of three programs, or just attend all of them!

  • Come and Play, Clay? will run from 2-3 pm and will let kids make fun Halloween clay pieces with a real master crafter (this event meets upstairs in the Black River Center by the elevator).
  • Halloween Vaudevillians begins at 7 pm will feature seasonal jokes music and stories and will also meet at the Black River Center.  Remember to bring a lawn chair!
  • Creatures of the Night starts at 8 pm and will feature interesting info about nocturnal animals.  Bring a flashlight!
  • There will also be a drawing for decorated pumpkins, thanks to a donation from Wal-Mart.
Be sure to dress warm, as all programs will be held outside.  For more information, contact the JSI Park at 573.546.2450.
