Went to a Garden Party...

Beautiful weather + flowers + kids = lovely morning at the Iron County Community Garden. We had a great turnout! We read two stories, made a flower garden picture, played flower petal bead toss, and had some delicious strawberry lemonade for a treat. Each child took home a marigold and planted a sunflower seed to take with them.

Superhero Opening Party!!

Last week we had our Superhero Opening Party to kick off our Every Hero Has A Story summer reading program. To enter the Superhero Headquarters we had to SCAN our hand and work our way thru the Lazer Field. We created Superhero ID cards, made a Superhero Cape and designed our own Superhero character!

Tween Event, Elsenpeter Productions & Kid's Nutrition Classes next week

Our Tween Event "Become a Superhero" will be held Monday at Ironton 10 a.m. and Fredericktown 2 p.m. and Friday at Cuba 10:30 a.m. and Bourbon 1:30 p.m. Be sure to register for this program.
Also we will have Elsenpeter Productions "Jack & the Beanstalk" Tuesday at Steelville 11 a.m. and Bourbon 2:30 p.m. and then again Wednesday at Ironton 10 a.m. and Fredericktown 2 p.m.
Nutrition Classes for the kids will begin at Ironton and Annapolis libraries. Ironton will be June 9 at 10 a.m. Annapolis will be June 11 at 2:00 p.m.

Grow-A-Reader program Thursday in Ironton

We will be doing a flower-themed storytime at the Community Garden, 106 N. Knob, in Ironton, Thursday, June 4 at 10 a.m. Registration is required. Call the office at 546-2615 or stop by to sign up.
