During this program, participants were able to
design their own guitar picks on Shrinky Dinks plastic and then shrink them
down to usable size. Some people turned
their guitar picks into necklaces! We
also recycled old CDs by painting them black and then scratched designs to
create cool pieces of art. This is a
very easy activity that you can do from home! Check out some of the creations
below!

2018 SRP Kickoff Party
The 2018 Summer Reading Program Kickoff Party took place on Saturday, June 2 at the Ironton branch. We had over 60 people show up for this awesome event! We had to change things around a little bit because of the storm that blew in, but we had a blast! Attendees signed up for the Summer Reading Club, played Minute-to-Win-it Games, painted sun catchers, enjoyed some live music by the Jones family, line dancing with Melia, and free BBQ from the Arcadia Valley BBQ Society. Our door prize winner was Oliver and he received a gift certificate for a free slab of baby back ribs from Ruble’s Meat Market.
