At our Ironton branch, John Abney, President of the Iron
County Historical Society, came to talk to the children and gave a virtual tour
of historic Main St. Using Google Maps
and old documents, John was able to show the kids what buildings looked like
then versus now. At our other locations,
the younger kids had a story time with books related to Missouri and everyone’s
favorite cat, Pete. The children made
Pete the Cat headbands. The older kids
and some teens competed in a Jeopardy game about Missouri history and trivia.
