Exploring Europe!

Our book this week was “Mirette on the High Wire,” a Caldecott Medal Winner.  This story is also loosely based on the life of a real high wire walker.  For our craft, we created mosaic tile coasters, kind of like Spanish tile.  The kids loved designing a pattern and creating their coasters.  Not only were they pretty but they are also practical! We enjoyed some French and Italian music while making our crafts and enjoying our snack of German Jaffa Cakes.  These were kind of hit-or-miss with the kids.  Most of the adults liked them though!  This snack can be found at Aldi’s.  Check out pics below!
